A disclaimer regarding methodology:
Ours is a bag of words analysis of a sample of news output from news media in Ireland. The analysis presented has not been checked for accuracy by human beings and is essentially the output of our prototype programs. Our programs cannot deal with ambiguous words – work is in progress for dealing with such words.
Please use your own judgement and discretion when making a decision about the way you intend to use your vote!
We have used an enhanced version of the Philip Stone’s (lately of Harvard University) General Inquirer Dictionary of Affect. A separate dictionary for Irish politics was created by our team.
References to news sources does not imply any criticism or acclamation of the source or the content of the news provided by the source.
